TFL's Mission: To empower youth and adults to mobilize and coordinate the resources of Leon County to create a tobacco-free community through youth prevention, cessation activities, promotion of a tobacco-free lifestyle, and reducing the tobacco industry’s influence.

TFL Partnership History

TFL was created in 1998 and revitalized in 2006 to promote a tobacco-free atmosphere and healthy lifestyles for all Leon County residents.

The Partnership consists of community organizations and members interested in collaborating to reduce the acceptability of tobacco use in Leon County.

About the Partnership

Tobacco Free Leon (TFL) Partnership is a county-wide, locally organized group committed to saving lives and improving the overall health and well-being of residents and visitors by reducing and/or eliminating use of tobacco products.

TFL Partnership Goals

TFL is made up of community members who advocate for positive tobacco-related changes and educate decision makers about tobacco's universal impact. TFL efforts are aimed towards policy and system change.

Locally, we advocate for:
  • Prevention of youth's tobacco use initiation
  • Protection from secondhand tobacco smoke
  • Promotion of tobacco cessation
