Tobacco Free Leon Partnership
Are you interested in helping continue Leon County’s momentum toward a healthy community where we live, work, attend school and play? Does your interest include working with a dynamic Partnership to create a Tobacco Free Leon County? If yes, then the Tobacco Free Leon Partnership wants you! The Tobacco Free Leon Partnership is seeking dynamic community members, organizations, local businesses, and any other persons or groups to get involved, spread the mission and set the tone for our community’s take on tobacco.
By becoming a partner or acting as a Tobacco Free Leon supporter, you will gain networking opportunities with organizations working towards similar goals in prevention, children and family issues, public health, etc. Partners also benefit through larger presence in the community through coordination of partner events where tobacco prevention and cessation are a component. Current partners, such as Whole Child Leon, Florida State University’s Breathe Easy Team, Capital Health Plan, Big Bend AHEC, Working Well, the Tallahassee Housing Authority, the YMCA, Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) and the Leon County Health Department share the vision for a Tobacco Free Leon as well as resources to support making that vision a reality.
